Pink Grapefruit Margarita
This twist on the classic margarita is light, citrusy, and pleasing to the eye with it’s light pink hue. Cheers to pink cocktails!
Pink Grapefruit Margarita Ingredients
Pink Grapefruit - I love baking with citrus and pink grapefruit is no exception. It has a powerful flavor profile that is sweet, tart, and slightly woodsy. Loaded with vitamin C and high in fiber, this tangy fruit also has loads of heath benefits.
Tequila - Pick your favorite tequila blanco and go with it! I used Tesoro #5 Blanco which is 100% agave, affordable and has a smooth flavor.
Limes - It wouldn’t be a margarita without a little lime in it, right?! Fresh lime juice has the punchiest flavor, but you can also use store bought lime juice, it works just as well.
Pink Grapefruit Margarita Recipe Tips
Strain the mixture to remove the pulp is optional - If you prefer a pulpy experience, skip straining your cocktail through a mesh strainer before pouring it into your glass.
Personalize your garnish - If you want the option of taking a sip with salt or without, you can garnish only half the glass - just squeeze the lime onto one side and dip that side in salt.
Adjust as You Go - With every recipe, I recommend tasting along the way and adjust the amount of any of the ingredient to suit your taste.
Pink Grapefruit Margarita Variations
Turn Up the Heat - If you want to add a little spice to this cocktail, try it with mezcal instead of tequila and jalapeño simple syrup instead of plain simple syrup. You can substitute these at a 1:1 ratio.
Make it a Mocktail - It’s easy, just ditch the tequila and add a little more grapefruit and lime juice.
