Margarita on the Rocks
Say goodbye to those watery margaritas from [insert local chain restaurant here] and pass me those limes because homemade classic margaritas are SO easy to make and taste so much better!
Just three main ingredients - Tequila, limes, and simple syrup. Adjust each ingredient to your liking and there you have a customized cocktail experience! For instance, I like a lot of lime and no orange liqueur (too sweet for me). If you love the orange liqueur in a margarita though, go for it! I’m curious - what do you prefer?
Ingredients
4 oz fresh lime juice (about 4 limes)
2 oz simple syrup
2 oz Tequila (or mezcal)
Ice to taste
Sea Salt and lime to rim the glass
Directions
Step One - Garnish your glass by running a slice of lime around the rim and then dipping the rim in salt. Fill the glass with ice and add a lime slice for garnish.
Step Two - Add fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and tequila to a tumbler. Add ice, pop the lid on tight, and shake for 15 seconds. Pour into the garnished glass and enjoy!
Happy Friday and have a good weekend!
