I’ve been sewing a lot lately, for my certificate program and for fun. I love collecting vintage sewing patterns from the 1960s and 1970s. The styles are so cute and they are usually very quick and easy to sew. I scored this Simplicity Pattern 8511 from Etsy and I’ve already made one nightgown and two sets!

My pattern is a size small 8 -10, and because I’m petite (5’2) I did have to alter it. I took up the hem by an inch or two on the nightgown and pants, and I had to take the pants in around the hips to make them a little more fitted.

I found this adorable cotton calico at JoAnn and it was on sale!
