Roy Rogers Drink
Sweet and tart, this mocktail blends crips, bubbly cola with the tart flavor of pomegranate grenadine. Top it off with maraschino cherries for extra sweetness, literally the cherry on top!

What is a Roy Rogers Drink?
A Roy Rogers is a non alcoholic drink that is popular at bars and restaurants. It is similar to a flavored cola drink like cherry cola. A Roy Rogers consists of cola and grenadine and is garnished with maraschino cherries. Strange name for a cola drink, you say? The drink is named after the actor Roy Rogers who made popular western films during the 1930s and 1940s (and whom I was a huge fan of as a little kid).
Ingredients
Cola - Different cola drinks tend to have different levels of carbonation and flavor strength. Go ahead and pick your favorite based on your taste preferences!
Grenadine - a simple syrup made using pomegranate juice and sugar. You can find Rose’s brand at most stores or you can make your own using my homemade grenadine recipe (which is so much better in my opinion!).
Maraschino Cherries - sugary sweet cherries from a jar. You can find maraschino cherries at most grocery stores.
Recipe Tips for Roy Rogers Drink
Maraschino cherries can be very sweet. If you’d like to decrease the sweetness of this drink, try using jarred bing cherries instead!
What kind of glass should I serve a Roy Rogers drink in?
I recommend serving a Roy Rogers drink in a tall, thin glass like a colins or highball glass. You can also serve this drink in a 16 oz. drinking glass.
